No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking pixels. We never see your card. We never store full IP addresses. The only personal data we process is what a donation necessarily involves.
We use a few functional cookies only: your language choice
(mb_lang), which wisdoms you have already seen so they don't repeat
(mb_seen), and your sound preference (mb_sound). They
identify preferences, not you. No consent banner is required for purely functional
cookies, and we set no others.
We record the intent in an internal, non-public log: time, amount, currency,
language, message length, and a coarse origin — a country code (if the server
provides one) and your network with the last part removed (e.g. 85.132.7.0).
We never store your full IP address. This data cannot identify you;
we use it solely to understand and improve the experience.
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe (see their privacy policy); Stripe is an independent controller for payment data. From Stripe we receive the amount, a payment reference and, where available, an approximate location (city). We store: amount, time, city, and the optional public message you typed. Amount, time, city and message appear in the public ledger — that is the point of the ledger, so please don't put personal data in the message.
Donation records are kept for as long as the project's accounting and legal obligations require. The intent log is periodically pruned.
Under the GDPR (and similar laws) you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your data, and you may complain to a supervisory authority. Write to legal@lebwerte.com. Note that we usually cannot link data to you unless you give us the payment reference.
The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly process their data.
