The Magic Beggar is a fictional character — an artistic, narrative experience. He is not a real person in need, and nothing on this site claims otherwise. The experience (scenes, spoken lines, wisdoms) is provided free of charge.
Any payment you make here is a voluntary, unconditional gift, received by the operator, lebwerte.com ("the recipient"), while the project runs in beta. If the project moves to a dedicated association, its name and public registry entry will be published on this site and in these terms. A donation is not a purchase: you receive no goods, services or other consideration in return, and no specific use of funds is promised. The minimum donation is the amount shown at checkout; donations are one-time only — we never create subscriptions or store your card.
As unconditional gifts, donations are non-refundable. We will, however, refund payments made in error (e.g. duplicates), without authorization, or in a wrong amount — contact us at legal@lebwerte.com within 14 days of the payment.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. under their own terms. We never see or store your card details.
To keep the project transparent, every completed donation appears in the public ledger: amount, time, an approximate location (city, if provided by the payment processor) and the optional public message you enter. Do not include personal data in the message. We may remove or redact messages that are unlawful, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate.
Donations made here are generally not tax-deductible — as gifts to a foreign association, they will not qualify as deductible donations or business expenses in most jurisdictions. You are responsible for your own tax treatment; consult your tax advisor.
You agree not to misuse the site (no unlawful content, no interference with its operation, no automated abuse).
The site is provided "as is", as a beta. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude warranties and limit our liability to the amount of your donation, except for liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms; the current version is always published here with its effective date.
These terms are governed by the law of the operator's seat. Mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live remain unaffected. Should the operating structure change (e.g. a dedicated association), this section will be updated accordingly.
